Micro Irrigation in IndiaIrrigation is one of the biggest challenges for crop production. India’s net cropped area is 140 Million Hectares. However, only 70 MHa (50%) is covered under irrigation
Generic irrigation methods are inefficient and demand additional time, labor & financial resources
Micro irrigation systems have reached only 6 MHa so far. That is just 4.3% of the net cropped area and 8.6% of the area under irrigation
The reasons for very low area under micro irrigation are various financial as well as technical challenges. A large number of small-holder farmers still find it difficult to get a drip irrigation system in their farmland due to investment related constraints
Our CompanyEurosia Micro Irrigation Private Limited is functional since 2017. We started with trading of micro irrigation products. During December 2020, we established a Rain Hose Pipe manufacturing plant at Pune, India.
The promoters of the company have more than 80 years of collective experience in working with farmers, micro-irrigation, agriculture value chain interventions, and inclusive finance. We have been manufacturing the Rain Hose Pipes commercially and selling in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and other states of India.
The company would be expanding its product portfolio within Rain Hose Pipes and would launch driplines, sprinkler & micro-sprinkler systems and irrigation automation systems as we build traction.
